a day of beauty

so after a ong day at the salon, mailli, julianna and jailyn looked beautiful with their silky straight hair. too bad for us moms who paid a pretty penny.... it lasted about four hours due to the humidity.

julianna's first real haircut

bienvenidos al club al club al club de las feas.......

so during xmas time, i took julianna to get a haircut. this was the first time her hair had been cut. At this point when I washed it, it went passed her butt. But since its curly it would get tangled easier and i thought it was time to go for a cut. So like any milestone it became i family event and in the car went my mom, tia evelyn, karina, jailyn, mailli and lets not forget bella (the dog). all the little ones got their hair done. Julianna was a trooper. She handled the pulling, blow drying very well. She sat there like if she went to the salon on a weekly basis. She looked so different with her hair straight. Unfortunately after a day of beauty, the humidity and playing around turned her hair back to curls and up in a pony tail it went.

together

I love that they are growing up together and being dependent on each other. I know that in the years to come their bond will only grow stronger and they will support each other and understand each other in a way no one else will.
There has been some really hard days with both being so young and close in age, but when i see these images and see how they look for each other, play together, take care of each other, count on each other.... it makes even the hardest day worth it. There is a bond in sisters. And to my sisters, i thank you for being a constant support in my life regardless of the circumstances. We continue to face life together, holding each other's hand, watching out for each other, and at the end of the day laughing together.

Zoey

To know Zoey.... she is a funny girl. She has this face of "I didn't do it, I don't know how it happened, I don't know why Julianna is crying, it wasn't me" while she is laughing with guilt smeared all over her face. She is deffinately the tougher of the two. She still growls at people she does not know and even those she knows but simply does not want them to touch her. If I could capture her growl in a picture it would be priceless. At the same time she is sweet and full of love. She cries if she hears Julianna crying (of course when it was not her who made her cry), she runs to you and asks "what happen" with a voice full of compassion. she's my little zoey.

Julianna

I swear I did not make her pose like this.... she called me to tell me she was ready for the picture and this is what i found. And i have to remind myself she is only 3!!!!!

So finally we got the girls a playground. It has been the best thing ever. They love going to their "park" as julianna calls it. Now in case you did not know, julianna was scared of the swings. and in just a few days she is doing tricks... like william markis. ( that's who she credits)
Julianna is quickly growing, she is learning to write her name. she loves to do her "homework". She will have an idea, "oh I know mami, ..... " it could be anything from baking to me staying at home with her, to her wanting something and then she will add "that's a great idea, right mami."
She has a very tender heart. She loves to cuddle. She loves to be with her parents and sister. "Mami, you and me and papi and zoey stay right here. we don't go anywhere. okay mami we stay here" She will look at me and out of the blue simply say "you're so beautiful" I love watching her grow and at the same time I wish she could stay like this forever.

Riding Around

So this was Jonas' great find at a yard sale. I'm not sure who was more excited him or julianna to have a "motorcyle".
Notice a few details.... the way Zoey is dressed for one. She decided she wanted the peach shirt so she could be a ballerina. There was no way anyone could take the shirt off. I tried once i saw her in public like that but it was impossible. Notice the heels... these are real biker chics. And i love zoey's face in the middle picture... they look like they had a ride of a lifetime.

Easter

I absolutely love this picture... I love the way Zoey is looking up at Julianna. She is always looking to see what she does so she can do the same.

Okay so I have turned into my mother, (do not be offended mami), but I cannot help but dress them exactly the same. And when i saw that the dresses came with a mini-me version for the doll, I could not resist. Sure I could have gotten one a different pattern, they had a rack full of dresses... but no. I simply cannot resist dressing them identical.

I must be living my dream of being a twin through them. ( I am still praying that I will have twins some day) and no I am not insane for those of you who thought i could not read your mind. Hope you had a great Easter.

Zoey's Candy Shop

Zoey turned 2!!!! and what better way to celebrate her birthday than to have her very own candy shop. She does love candy more than anything else. So we set up shop. We had a backyard full of kids, played games, ate and before they went home they went shopping at the candy shop. The kids loved it... the parents are still trying to forgive me.
